Improvement in fundus appearance after treatment. Comparison of fundus photographs taken at time of presentation (A, B) and 4 months after diagnosis and treatment of systemic hypertension (C, D). Normalization of blood pressure resulted in resolution of retinal hemorrhages, cotton-wool spots, and serous macular detachment. There is interval improvement in hard exudates in the right eye with residual macular star.
